December 22, 2022: Saugus, MA 01906 The Saugus Sachems (Saugus, MA) basketball nipped the visiting Lynnfield Pioneers (Lynnfield, MA), 48-41 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Sachems (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Winthrop (Winthrop, MA). The Vikings go into the Northeastern - Small test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Winthrop got by Northeast Metro RVT (Wakefield, MA), 89-56, in a non-league test.
The Pioneers now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Stoneham for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 27. Lynnfield will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 79-53 league loss to Belmont (Belmont, MA). The Spartans record now stands at 0-3.
