Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Garey Vikings (Pomona, CA) and the host Valley Christian Defenders (Cerritos, CA), saw Garey's basketball team achieve victory over Valley Christian by a tally of 49-39.

The Vikings now possess a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bassett for a Miramonte battle on Tuesday, January 10.

The Defenders (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against Brea Olinda (Brea, CA). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 9-3 record. In their last battle, Brea Olinda beat JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, CA), 73-8, in a non-league battle.
