Furr Brahmans (Houston, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Alief Elsik Rams (Houston, TX), 52-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Furr upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Brahmans host Scarborough (Houston, TX) to play the Spartans in a 4A Region III District 21 bout on Monday, January 8. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 2-12.

Next up, the Rams play the Clear Brook Wolverines (Friendswood, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Alief Elsik will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Wolverines come into the bout with a 8-13 record after their 68-60 league loss to Clear Lake (Houston, TX).
