Wheeler Lions (North Stonington, CT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bacon Academy Bobcats (Colchester, CT), 41-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wheeler upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Lions travel to Branford (Branford, CT) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 0-1.
