Minnesota High School Basketball - Mankato East crushes Big Lake
December 22, 2023: Big Lake, MN 55309 Mankato East Cougars (Mankato, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Big Lake Hornets (Big Lake, MN), 101-52 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Mankato East upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Cougars travel to Orono (Long Lake, MN) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Orono lost 79-74 in their recent league bout against Delano (Delano, MN)
Next up, the Hornets play the Perham Yellowjackets (Perham, MN) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Big Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 76-66 league loss to Hawley (Hawley, MN).
