Kentucky High School Basketball - Eastern knocked off by Blazer
December 22, 2023: Ashland, KY 41102 The Blazer Tomcats basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Eastern Eagles to 53 in the Tomcats non-league triumph on Friday.
The Tomcats now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highlands for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 23. Blazer will battle a Bluebirds team coming off a 88-62 non-league loss to Walton-Verona (Walton, KY). The Bluebirds record now stands at 5-4.
The Eagles (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Paul Laurence Dunbar (Lexington, KY). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Paul Laurence Dunbar was defeated by Anderson County (Lawrenceburg, KY), 56-55, in a non-league contest.
