Kentucky High School Basketball - Frederick Douglass fells Butler County
December 22, 2023: Morgantown, KY 42261 Frederick Douglass Broncos (Lexington, KY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Butler County Bears (Morgantown, KY), 76-61 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Frederick Douglass upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Broncos travel to Calloway County (Murray, KY) to play the Lakers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 26. The Lakers go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Calloway County lost 60-45 in their recent non-league bout against Jonesboro (Jonesboro, AR)
Next up, the Bears play the Carlisle County Comets (Bardwell, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Butler County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 51-42 non-league loss to Logan County (Russellville, KY).
