New Mexico High School Basketball - Chaparral nudges Cathedral
December 22, 2023: Chaparral, NM 88081 Chaparral Lobos (Chaparral, NM) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Cathedral Fighting Irish (El Paso, TX), 39-37 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Chaparral upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Lobos travel to Irvin (El Paso, TX) to clash with the Rockets in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 2-12. Irvin won 45-23 in their recent non-league bout against Clint (Clint, TX)
Next up, the Fighting Irish clash with the Rehoboth Christian Lynx (Rehoboth, NM) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Cathedral will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Lynx go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 66-64 non-league win over Grants (Grants, NM).
