Tennessee High School Basketball - Dobyns-Bennett nips Hampton
December 22, 2023: Kingsport, TN 37664 Dobyns-Bennett Indians (Kingsport, TN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Hampton Bulldogs (Hampton, TN), 57-52 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Dobyns-Bennett upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Indians travel to Mater Lakes Academy (Miami, FL) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Mater Lakes Academy won 78-75 in their recent non-league bout against Campbell Hall (North Hollywood, CA)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Unicoi County Blue Devils (Erwin, TN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Hampton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 16-3 record after their 88-63 non-league win over John Battle (Bristol, VA).
