December 22, 2023: East Wenatchee, WA 98802 In Friday's non-league outing, the Monroe Bearcats (Monroe, WA) basketball squad edged the host Eastmont Wildcats (East Wenatchee, WA), by a count of 49-42.
The Bearcats (6-3) will now prepare for their outing against Archbishop Murphy (Everett, WA). The Wildcats go into the 2A/3A Wesco outing with a 4-6 record. In their last outing, Archbishop Murphy held off Squalicum (Bellingham, WA), 57-55, in a non-league outing.
The Wildcats now hold a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Sunnyside for a 4A Columbia Basin Big-9 outing on Friday, January 5. Eastmont will clash with a Grizzlies squad coming off a 70-54 non-league loss to Kamiakin (Kennewick, WA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 4-5.
