The New York Mills (MN) varsity basketball team lost Friday's neutral non-conference game against Fond du Lac Ojibwe Ogichida (Cloquet, MN) by a score of 60-58.
The Fond du Lac Ojibwe Ogichida Ogichida basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting New York Mills Eagles to 58 in the Ogichida non-league triumph on Friday.
The Ogichida now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Proctor for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 27. Fond du Lac Ojibwe Ogichida will meet a Rails team coming off a 87-32 non-league loss to Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] (Eveleth, MN). The Rails record now stands at 3-3.
The Eagles (0-8) will now prepare for their contest against West Central Area (Barrett, MN). The Knights enter the A Section 6 contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, West Central Area was nudged by Melrose (Melrose, MN), 71-70, in a non-league contest.
