South Carolina High School Basketball - Greer nips New Hampstead
December 22, 2023: Greer, SC 29651 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Greer Yellow Jackets (Greer, SC) and the visiting New Hampstead Phoenix (Savannah, GA), saw Greer's basketball squad hold off New Hampstead by a count of 61-59.
With the victory, Greer upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Yellow Jackets host Westside (Anderson, SC) to play the Rams in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 4-6.
Next up, the Phoenix play the Richmond Hill Wildcats (Richmond Hill, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 29. New Hampstead will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 1-12 record after their 56-40 non-league loss to Burke County (Waynesboro, GA).
