The Matoaca Warriors (Chesterfield, VA) basketball nipped the host Kenston Forest Kavaliers (Blackstone, VA), 68-66 in Friday's non-league test.

The Warriors (4-7) will now prepare for their test against Hermitage (Richmond, VA). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 6-1 record. In their last test, Hermitage got by Freeman (Richmond, VA), 71-51, in a league test.

The Kavaliers now own a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot for a non-league test on Thursday, January 4. Kenston Forest will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 75-55 non-league loss to Grove Christian School (Richmond, VA). The Knights record now stands at 2-3.
