The Mount Vernon Mustangs routed the host The First Academy Royals basketball team by a final score of 74-52 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the Oak Ridge Pioneers (Orlando, FL) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, December 27. Mount Vernon will attempt to move on its 8-5 season record. The Pioneers come into the battle with a 10-2 record after their 83-68 non-league win over Christ the King (Middle Village, NY).

The Royals (6-5) will now prepare for their battle against Southland Christian (Kissimmee, FL). The FLAMES come into the non-league battle with a 10-5 record. In their last battle, Southland Christian was overwhelmed by Forest (Ocala, FL), 63-56, in a non-league battle.
