The Piedmont Highlanders basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the visiting Novato Hornets to 46 in the Highlanders non-league victory on Friday.

The Highlanders now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bishop O'Dowd for a West Alameda County - Foothill contest on Thursday, January 4.

The Hornets (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Rancho Cotate (Rohnert Park, CA). The Cougars come into the non-league contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Rancho Cotate was defeated by Sonoma Valley (Sonoma, CA), 60-35, in a non-league contest.
