Wisconsin High School Basketball - Altoona nips West Salem
December 22, 2023: West Salem, WI 54669 Altoona Railroaders (Altoona, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host West Salem Panthers (West Salem, WI), 64-62 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Altoona upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Railroaders host Elk Mound (Elk Mound, WI) to play the Mounders in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Mounders go into the bout with a record of 10-0. Elk Mound won 44-28 in their recent league bout against Colfax (Colfax, WI)
Next up, the Panthers play the Milwaukee Academy of Science (Milwaukee, WI) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. West Salem will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The go into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 52-47 non-league win over Madison La Follette (Madison, WI).
