In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Covington Chargers basketball team scored a tight 48-41 triumph over the Seneca Bobcats.

In their next game, the Chargers meet the Athens Golden Eagles (Athens, AL) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, December 27. Covington will attempt to move on its 3-7 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the match with a 3-9 record after their 47-39 non-league loss to Helena (Helena, AL).
