The Jefferson Forest Cavaliers basketball team scored 44 points and held the host James River Knights to 37 in the Cavaliers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cavaliers now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Glass for a Seminole contest on Friday, January 5. Jefferson Forest will meet a Hilltoppers team coming off a 43-41 non-league loss to William Byrd (Vinton, VA). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 4-5.

The Knights (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA). The Little Giants enter the non-league contest with a 1-7 record. In their last contest, Waynesboro was nudged by Staunton (Staunton, VA), 64-58, in a league contest.
