New Jersey High School Basketball - Morris Hills can't hold off Newark Academy
December 22, 2023: Livingston, NJ 07039 The Newark Academy Minutemen basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the visiting Morris Hills Knights to 58 in the Minutemen non-league victory on Friday.
The Minutemen now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Timber Creek Regional for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. Newark Academy will battle a Chargers team coming off a 50-26 non-league win over Deptford (Deptford, NJ). The Chargers record now stands at 2-1.
The Knights (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Boonton (Boonton, NJ). The Bombers come into the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Boonton was nudged by Pequannock (Pompton Plains, NJ), 58-29, in a non-league contest.
