California High School Basketball - Rio Americano nips Oakmont

December 22, 2023: Roseville, CA 95661

Rio Americano Raiders (Sacramento, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Oakmont Vikings (Roseville, CA), 52-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rio Americano upgrades its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Justin Garza (Fresno, CA) to play the Guardians in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Guardians come into the bout with a record of 8-8.

Next up, the Vikings play the Union Mine Diamondbacks (El Dorado, CA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Oakmont will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record.
