The Wheeler Lions basketball team (North Stonington, CT), was overwhelmed 76-41 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Windham Whippets (Willimantic, CT)

The Whippets now possess a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Windham RVT for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 28. Windham will confront a Mighty Tigers team coming off a 57-54 non-league win over Coventry (Coventry, CT). The Mighty Tigers record now stands at 4-0.

The Lions (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Montville (Oakdale, CT). The Indians come into the Eastern Connecticut IV battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Montville was overwhelmed by Killingly (Killingly, CT), 69-31, in a non-league battle.
