Tazewell Bulldogs (Tazewell, VA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA), 59-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Tazewell upgrades its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Honaker (Honaker, VA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 10. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 5-3.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Covington Cougars (Covington, VA) in a Pioneer bout, on Tuesday, January 4. Eastern Montgomery will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record.
