North Carolina High School Basketball - Science Hill nips Independence

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Science Hill Hilltoppers (Johnson City, TN) and the host Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), saw Science Hill's basketball squad hold off Independence by a tally of 49-44.

With the victory, Science Hill improves its record to 2-5 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers travel to Peachtree Ridge (Suwanee, GA) to play the Lions in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 27. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 11-2. Peachtree Ridge won 59-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Calhoun (Calhoun, GA)

Next up, the Patriots play the Nation Ford Falcons (Fort Mill, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 28. Independence will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 58-57 non-league win over Catawba Ridge (Fort Mill, SC).
