The El Capitan Vaqueros basketball team (Lakeside, CA), was overwhelmed 57-30 in Friday's league battle with the host Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA)

The Highlanders now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Patrick Henry for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 27. Helix will confront a Patriots team coming off a 46-45 non-league win over Otay Ranch (Chula Vista, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 3-0.

The Vaqueros (0-6) will now prepare for their battle against Liberty Charter (Lemon Grove, CA). The Lions come into the non-league battle with a 0-0 record.
