The Monte Vista Monarchs tipped the host Santa Fe Christian Eagles basketball team by a final score of 45-42 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Monarchs face the Hilltop Lancers (Chula Vista, CA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, December 29. Monte Vista will attempt to move on its 9-4 season record. The Lancers enter the game with a 1-8 record after their 35-31 non-league loss to Mission Bay (San Diego, CA).
