Alabama High School Basketball - Sumter Central crushes Greene County
December 23, 2023: York, AL 36925 Sumter Central Jaguars (York, AL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Greene County Tigers (Eutaw, AL), 85-31 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Sumter Central upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Christian Brothers (Memphis, TN) to clash with the Purple Wave in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Purple Wave go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Christian Brothers lost 64-50 in their recent non-league bout against First Assembly Christian (Cordova, TN)
Next up, the Tigers clash with the Biloxi Indians (Biloxi, MS) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Greene County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 61-52 league loss to Ocean Springs (Ocean Springs, MS).
