California High School Basketball - Pittsburg nudges Irvington
December 23, 2023: Pittsburg, CA 94565 Pittsburg Pirates (Pittsburg, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Irvington Vikings (Fremont, CA), 107-103 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Pittsburg upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Pirates travel to De Anza (El Sobrante, CA) to clash with the Dons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Dons go into the bout with a record of 4-5. De Anza won 85-77 in their recent league bout against Saint Mary's (Albany, CA)
Next up, the Vikings clash with the El Cerrito Gauchos (El Cerrito, CA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Irvington will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Gauchos go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 68-52 non-league loss to Pinole Valley (Pinole, CA).
