The McDowell Titans basketball team (Marion, NC), was nudged 87-82 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC)

The Bears now possess a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Asheville for a non-league battle on Wednesday, December 27. Pisgah will battle a Cougars team coming off a 70-47 non-league win over Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 2-5.

The Titans (7-1) will now prepare for their battle against Avery County (Newland, NC). The Vikings come into the non-league battle with a 3-6 record. In their last battle, Avery County was nudged by Draughn (Valdese, NC), 71-63, in a league battle.
