North Carolina High School Basketball - Airport holds off Huss

December 23, 2023: Gastonia, NC 28052

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Airport Eagles (West Columbia, SC) and the host Huss Huskies (Gastonia, NC), saw Airport's basketball squad hold off Huss by a tally of 60-53.

With the victory, Airport improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Aiken (Aiken, SC) to confront the Fighting Green Hornets in a AAAA Region 4 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Fighting Green Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 7-3.

Next up, the Huskies confront the West Charlotte Lions (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 27. Huss will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 63-54 non-league loss to Salisbury (Salisbury, NC).
