Maine High School Basketball - Greely holds off Wells
December 23, 2023: Cumberland Center, ME 04021 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Greely Rangers (Cumberland Center, ME) and the visiting Wells Warriors (Wells, ME), saw Greely's basketball squad hold off Wells by a tally of 52-48.
With the victory, Greely improves its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Rangers host Spruce Mountain (Jay, ME) to confront the Phoenix in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 26. The Phoenix come into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Spruce Mountain lost 58-39 in their recent league challenge against Oceanside (Rockland, ME)
Next up, the Warriors confront the Gray-New Gloucester Patriots (Gray, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 28. Wells will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 58-27 league win over Marshwood (South Berwick, ME).
