The McDowell Titans basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Pisgah Bears to 28 in the Titans non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Titans now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Avery County for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 28. McDowell will battle a Vikings team coming off a 66-63 league win over Draughn (Valdese, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 4-5.

The Bears (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mount Tabor (Winston-Salem, NC). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Mount Tabor was routed by R.J. Reynolds (Winston-Salem, NC), 62-46, in a league contest.
