The Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL) basketball crushed the host St. Edward Green Wave (Elgin, IL), 83-62 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Astros now possess a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Waukegan for a non-league bout on Thursday, December 26. Shepard will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 85-25 non-league win over Kennedy (Chicago, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-3.
