New Jersey High School Basketball - Colts Neck knocked off by Toms River North
December 26, 2023: Toms River, NJ 08753 The Toms River North Mariners basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Colts Neck Cougars to 56 in the Mariners non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Mariners now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Holmdel for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 2. Toms River North will battle a Hornets team coming off a 67-60 non-league win over Perth Amboy (Perth Amboy, NJ). The Hornets record now stands at 3-1.
The Cougars (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against St. John-Vianney (Holmdel, NJ). The Lancers enter the Shore A - Central contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, St. John-Vianney was defeated by Central Regional (Bayville, NJ), 48-40, in a non-league contest.
