Virginia High School Basketball - George Wythe tops Dorman
December 26, 2023: Wytheville, VA 24382 George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Dorman Cavaliers (Roebuck, SC), 56-45 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, George Wythe upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Maroons host Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) to play the Pioneers in a Mountain Empire bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Pioneers come into the bout with a record of 4-3. Fort Chiswell lost 65-59 in their recent non-league bout against Narrows (Narrows, VA)
Next up, the Cavaliers play the Sullivan East Patriots (Bluff City, TN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Dorman will attempt to upgrade on its 11-2 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 99-76 non-league loss to Mentor (Mentor, OH).
