December 26, 2024: Mt. Vernon, MO 65712 Branson Pirates (Branson, MO) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Mt. Vernon Mountaineers (Mt. Vernon, MO), 71-45 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Branson advances its record to 4-1 on the year. The Pirates travel to Hillcrest (Springfield, MO) to face the Hornets in a non-league match on Monday, December 30. The Hornets enter the match with a record of 2-0. Hillcrest won 76-34 in their recent non-league match against Crane (Crane, MO)
The Mountaineers now own a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Skyline for a non-league match on Friday, December 27. Mt. Vernon will face a Tigers squad coming off a 65-41 non-league win over Clinton (Clinton, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 4-2.
