December 26, 2024: Church Point, LA 70525 Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Church Point Bears (Church Point, LA), 63-55 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Newman advances its record to 9-1 on the year. The Greenies travel to Catholic - N.I. (New Iberia, LA) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Friday, December 27. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 2-4. Catholic - N.I. won 67-32 in their recent non-league match against Ascension Episcopal (Lafayette, LA)
The Bears now own a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Midland for a non-league match on Friday, January 3. Church Point will face a Rebels squad coming off a 68-54 non-league win over South Beauregard (Longville, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 5-7.
