In Thursday's non-league test, the North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) basketball squad defeated the host North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC), by a final score of 54-35.

Next, the Vikings clash with the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) in a non-league test, on Friday, December 27. North Wilkes will attempt to upgrade on its 8-1 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 8-3 record after their 56-28 non-league win over Asheville Christian Academy (Swannanoa, NC).
