Arkansas High School Basketball - Searcy toppled by Quitman
December 26, 2024: Searcy, AR 72143 Quitman Bulldogs (Quitman, AR) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Searcy Lions (Searcy, AR), 56-40 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Quitman upgrades its record to 15-0 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Conway Christian (Conway, AR) to face the Eagles in a 2A Region 5 match on Tuesday, January 7. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 5-2.
The Lions now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southside for a non-league match on Friday, January 3.
