In Thursday's non-league test, the El Modena Vanguards (Orange, CA) basketball squad defeated the visiting Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros (Garden Grove, CA), by a final score of 38-27.

Next, the Vanguards clash with the Chatsworth Chancellors (Chatsworth, CA) in a non-league test, on Friday, December 27. El Modena will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record.
