Rhode Island High School Ice Hockey - Smithfield gets by Bishop Guertin
December 26, 2024: Esmond, RI 02917 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) and the visiting Bishop Guertin Cardinals (Nashua, NH), witnessed Smithfield's ice hockey team defeat Bishop Guertin by a final score of 3-1.
The Sentinels (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Prout (Wakefield, RI). The Crusaders come into the State Championship Division challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Prout got by Notre Dame Prep (Fairfield, CT), 10-2, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Pilgrim Patriots (Warwick, RI) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 27. Bishop Guertin will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 1-1 non-league Notre Dame Prep (Fairfield, CT).
