Maine High School Ice Hockey - Guilford can't get by Cheverus
December 26, 2024: Portland, ME 04103 In Thursday's non-league test, the Cheverus Stags (Portland, ME) ice hockey squad tipped the visiting Guilford Grizzlies (Guilford, CT), by a final score of 2-1.
Next, the Stags face the Brunswick Dragons (Brunswick, ME) in a Class B South test, on Thursday, January 2. Cheverus will attempt to upgrade on its 6-0 season record. The Dragons come into the test with a 1-2 record after their 3-0 league loss to Mt. Ararat (Topsham, ME).
The Grizzlies (0-2) will now prepare for their test against Lyman Hall (Wallingford, CT). The Trojans come into the Southern Connecticut - DII test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, Lyman Hall nudged Branford (Branford, CT), 5-2, in a league test.
