North Carolina High School Basketball - Morgantown can't hold off Winston-Salem Christian
December 27, 2021: Winston-Salem, NC 27106 The Winston-Salem Christian Lions basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Morgantown Mohigans to 47 in the Lions non-league victory on Monday.
The Lions now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Covenant Day for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 29. Winston-Salem Christian will battle a Lions team coming off a 56-46 non-league win over Piedmont Classical (Browns Summit, NC). The Lions record now stands at 11-5.
The Mohigans (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against York Prep (Rock Hill, SC). The Patriots come into the non-league contest with a 9-0 record. In their last contest, York Prep edged Northwood Temple Academy (Fayetteville, NC), 50-34, in a non-league contest.
