The Hoover Buccaneers basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting IMG Academy Ascenders to 47 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Buccaneers now sport a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thompson for a 7A Area 5 contest on Friday, January 7.

The Ascenders (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Southwest DeKalb (Decatur, GA). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 5-3 record.
