Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the North Central Thunderbirds (Farmersburg, IN) and the visiting Mt. Vernon Wildcats (Mt. Vernon, IN), saw North Central's basketball squad hold off Mt. Vernon by a tally of 40-38.

With the victory, North Central improves its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds host Orleans (Orleans, IN) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 28. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 2-10. Orleans lost 45-27 in their recent league challenge against Perry Central (Leopold, IN)

Next up, the Wildcats confront the White River Valley Wolverines (Switz City, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 28. Mt. Vernon will attempt to improve on its 3-12 season record.
