December 27, 2022: San Jose, CA 95129 The JSerra Catholic Lions (San Juan Capistrano, CA) basketball nipped the host Archbishop Mitty Monarchs (San Jose, CA), 52-48 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Lions (12-1) will now prepare for their test against St. Augustine (San Diego, CA). The Saints go into the non-league test with a 10-2 record. In their last test, St. Augustine got by Centennial (Peoria, AZ), 82-49, in a non-league test.
The Monarchs now own a 6-1 record. They play next when they travel to Bellarmine College Prep for a West Catholic test on Wednesday, January 4. Archbishop Mitty will encounter a Bells squad coming off a 62-59 non-league win over The Woodlands (The Woodlands, TX). The Bells record now stands at 4-2.
