December 27, 2022: Berne, NY 12023 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs (Berne, NY) and the visiting Cairo-Durham Mustangs (Cairo, NY), saw Berne-Knox-Westerlo's basketball squad hold off Cairo-Durham by a count of 69-64.
With the victory, Berne-Knox-Westerlo upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Mayfield (Mayfield, NY) to play the Panthers in a Section 2 Western - Hudson challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 5-4. Mayfield lost 61-60 in their recent non-league challenge against Northville (Northville, NY)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Coxsackie-Athens Riverhawks (Coxsackie, NY) in a Section 2 Patroon challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Cairo-Durham will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
