Rodriguez Mustangs (Fairfield, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Castro Valley Trojans (Castro Valley, CA), 64-61 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rodriguez upgrades its record to 4-7 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Pinole Valley (Pinole, CA) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 12-1. Pinole Valley won 73-47 in their recent non-league bout against Deer Valley (Antioch, CA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Berkeley Yellowjackets (Berkeley, CA) in a West Alameda County - Foothill bout, on Thursday, January 5. Castro Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record.
