The Central Rockets basketball team scored 87 points and held the host Coal City Coalers to 48 in the Rockets non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Rockets now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Streator for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 28. Central will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 57-51 non-league win over Hinckley-Big Rock (Hinckley, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-5.

The Coalers (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Hinckley-Big Rock (Hinckley, IL). The Royals enter the non-league contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Hinckley-Big Rock was routed by Streator (Streator, IL), 57-51, in a non-league contest.
