The Topsail Pirates basketball team (Hampstead, NC), was overwhelmed 58-28 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Heritage Huskies (Wake Forest, NC)

The Huskies now possess a 1-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Brunswick for a non-league battle on Wednesday, December 28. Heritage will battle a Cougars team coming off a 56-34 non-league loss to Cape Fear Academy (Wilmington, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 2-7.

The Pirates (2-8) will now prepare for their battle against East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 7-1 record. In their last battle, East Bladen trounced Midway (Dunn, NC), 49-43, in a league battle.
