Schaumburg Saxons (Schaumburg, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Leo Lions (Chicago, IL), 53-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Schaumburg upgrades its record to 5-7 on the season. The Saxons travel to Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL) to face the Hilltoppers in a non-league game on Wednesday, December 28. The Hilltoppers enter the game with a record of 6-3. Glenbard West lost 49-44 in their recent non-league game against Naperville North (Naperville, IL)

With the defeat, Leo moves to 4-7 on the year. The Lions travel to Minooka (Minooka, IL) to face the Indians in a non-league game on Wednesday, December 28. The Indians come into the battle with a record of 1-10. Minooka lost 64-36 in their recent non-league battle against Saint Ignatius College Prep (Chicago, IL)
